ELEGANT CITY WEDDING AT ISLINGTON TOWN HALL // CAMILLA & CHRIS

One beautiful evening in late August, I spent 3 amazing hours with Camilla, Chris and their loved ones. The couple chose to marry at 6pm which gave them a full day to spend relaxing and getting ready. Come the evening, the light was insane and meant for the entire time I was with them, their wedding was bathed in beautiful, golden hour sunshine. It completely elevated their photographs and as their photographer I am so thankful to them both for wanting an evening wedding. 

After their intimate ceremony at Islington Town Hall, we took advantage of being the last wedding party in the building and went for a wander around its famous corridors. Then, hopping into a taxi for a quick pitstop at Highbury Stadium en route to Salut! restaurant for their incredibly beautiful, candlelit dinner reception. The couple had thought about every beautiful detail, including the atmosphere they wished to create in the small space once the sun set. Not only did the romantic London restaurant look incredible, with the help of Keynvor candles, it smelt divine and felt so cosy too! It was the ultimate hygge experience and I found myself wishing that I didn’t have to leave them 🖤 

Islington Town Hall is a ceremony location that I return to again and again and know I will never tire of. I’ve captured so many couples marrying in that Council Chamber over the years. Each time I find new beauty within that building it inspires me more than I can ever say. The way the light dances through it’s windowpanes and floods the floors of it’s endless corridors… Just wow! It reveals itself in new ways each time and whenever a couple reach out to me about capturing their wedding at Islington Town Hall, I do a little leap for joy!
